Hollywood Arts Collective is a new 151-unit affordable housing complex located in Hollywood. At 273,000 gross square feet, the project consists of new construction of a seven-story Type III over Type I building, with three levels of subterranean parking for 252 cars and 9,900 square feet of ground-floor retail. By utilizing Type III construction on a double podium, the design achieves a greater overall height with increased density. Comprised of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, the target population for this project is low-income households with a preference for artists given the surrounding neighborhood’s heavy presence of art institutions. Amenities include a lobby, community room with kitchen, recording studio, office space, fitness room, laundry facility, and three courtyards. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification.
