The United Artists Theater Building was converted under the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance to a boutique hotel all while maintaining the historic fabric of the building. The building contributes to the Broadway Theater and Commercial District of downtown Los Angeles and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This historic building was previously used for office space and now consists of 182 hotel rooms on 11 typical floors. The ground floor consists of a hotel lobby, registration, and a street-front restaurant with a mezzanine level for additional seating and food preparation areas. The second floor was converted to a functional space for meetings and social gatherings along with more back-of-house space. A lounge area and pool deck were constructed on the rooftop to take advantage of the sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles. The theater portion underwent cosmetic upgrades, historic refurbishments, and food and beverage spaces were added.
