Best in American Living Awards
UC Irvine Plaza Verde was recognized as a Silver Award recipient in the Best Multifamily: Student Housing, Large Scale category.
The Best in American Living Awards (BALA) is the building industry’s premier residential design awards program. BALA spotlights the most creative and talented building industry professionals who have redefined design excellence for homes and communities nationally and internationally.
Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards
UC Irvine Plaza Verde was recognized as a Gold Award recipient in the Best in Green Market Rate Multifamily Community category.
The Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards highlight creative development concepts, innovative financing strategies, great design, and superior management and marketing in the apartment and condo marketplace.
UCI Plaza Verde is a five-story, modern student living community home to more than 1,400 residents. The project was designed and built with a focus on sustainability, providing an affordable, green-living community for students on the UC Irvine campus. Achieving LEED Platinum certification, the community operates on an all-electric system, reducing the need for natural gas and supporting University of California’s initiative of maintaining and expanding a sustainable, affordable, and academically oriented on-campus residential experience.
The 2020 BALA winners were celebrated and honored at a virtual ceremony on February 25th, followed by a virtual celebration of the Pillars Award winners on March 4th.
